Hezbollah is a unique terrorist organization in that they are part of the government of the country where they reside. This doesn't make them any the less terrorist, but it does make them difficult to root out. An attack directly on them is construed by some as an attack on Lebanon. If Hezbollah initiates attacks outside of Lebanon its then claimed by the Lebanese that they shouldn't be held responsible for what Hezbollah does. If Lebanon won't control them then I think we, as well as Israel will need to. The poster that claims all liberals support terrorists is nothing more then a trouble making terrorist in his own right.
P.S.
Hezbollah is responsible for killing 241 US Marines in 1983 by blowing up the barracks they were living in. I, for one, will not forgive or forget that.

Well, the UK and the United Nations are on the verge of declaring it one, so obviously Hezbollah is something heh. And by the U.S. definition they're a terrorist organization, it doesn't make it an international T.O. but to the U.S. it does. Just like some organizations are considered terrorists by other nations but not by us.

The Americans did to the British just as Hezbollah and the Iraqi insurgency is doing to their enemies, yet they were called patriots. When I went to school, many, many years ago I learned that fighting for your rights was a good thing, and those who fought their battles against overwhelming forces were heroes, fathers of, sons of, and so on. Today, if you object or take a stand for your rights and beliefs you are a terrorist. Even if someone mistreats you at an airport and you stand up for your rights you are labelled a terrorist. Yes, there are many so called terrorists and acts of terrorism all over the world, but it depends on where you live and what has been done to you. I see that those that call others terrorists are themselves savages and terrorists on both sides of the line. It is amazing that in the year 2007 man has not learned to live with himself and allow others to live their lives in peace. Greed and pride will never allow peace to take root in our world, as we can see it everyday of our lives, and man proves more to me with every passing day that he is not capable even to direct his own steps.....KECK

If that someone is a US citizen, just saying they are a terrorist does not make them a terrorist. US citizens have a right to due process.

If that someone belongs to a group that takes place in terrorist activities as Hezbollah has done, it is reasonable to call him a terrorist. Terrorist define themselves by their own activities, not because the US labels them as terrorist.

Hezbollah in Lebanon? I heard this is a para-military force created by Lebanon, Iraq, Iran, Syria, Afghanistan, etc. to augment their regular armed forces in fighting Israel.

The same is true when the US 'carelessly' branded the New People's Army (of the CPP led by Mr. Sison in the Netherlands) of the Phils. a terrorist group even when barrio folks run to NPA insurgent guerillas when they complain against abusive soldiers and officials.

I think an impartial 'coding' body is needed to restrict the use of such term by US.

You know the US sees terrorists everywhere. It is a bit dangerous to rely only on them, isn't it? And a lot of countries recognise the fact that Hezbollah is a terrorist organisation.

Hezbollah is a terrorist organization because they aim civilians. They use their missiles not against Israelian army, but agains Israelian cities.

Hezbollaw blowed up a jew's association in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1995 killing 100 civilians, jews and non-jews, sounds like it doesn't matter to Hezbollah.

If you aim civilians you're a terrorist, it doesn't matter if your cause is a good one.

Just because only a few countries believe a group are terrorists, doesn't change the fact that they are, or lessen the degree to which they are.

No. If i say the sky is purple it doesn't make the sky purple. The US government is made of humans and they make mistakes like everyone else.

Now i wouldn't say the US is just lying and saying that they are a terrorist organization when they aren't. I'm pretty sure they have a good reason to believe so.
