If someone gets upset or stops talking with you because of how your injury looks then they are not your true friend. I and my friends have gotten many horrible looking injuries during the course of our friendships (Active sports, Pregnancy and childbirth rarely improve looks lol). Mostly what we do is make fun of each other or not depending on our temperments(some people are very sensitive) but we follow the rule if you can't take it don't give it. My brother had to get ten stitches in his head when we were kids. We called him Frankenstein for a couple of weeks because of the placement of the injury and got him Frankenstein stuff. When I fell off my bike and got a horrible road rash the jokes never ended(you're probably thinking of one right now lol). As long as it's all in good fun, comedy can actually make you feel better about how an injury looks. If you are sensitive though, you may want to cover what you can, and make it clear to your friends it's an off limits topic unless they are giving sympathy. Good Luck

if you were my friend, no it wouldnt. but there are lots of people who thinks looks matters more then anything else!! if your friends or the guy who likes you stops talking to you because of what you look like, then they are real friends, and you shouldnt even bother with they guy. you had an accident, there is nothing you can do about your looks at the moment. you have to remember that this is temporary and that you will look fine agian soon. just get comfortable with your looks right now, if you feel better wearing lots of make up or wearing your hair different for the time being, then do it. just act confident in yourself and dont take s*** from people. ignore the looks and the people talking about you. it pisses people off more when you dotn react to that sort of thing. and just think about what if you were the one who had a friend looking like you, would you stop bieng their freind??

i wouldn't care, i crashed skiing off a jump with a 60 foot gap and i crushed my face and it was puffy, fat, and my eyes were swollen shut i just iced my face a lot through out the day and took ibuprofen because that is not only a pain killer but its a anti-inflammatory which means it will help take the swelling down. don't worry about your looks at the moment because before you know it you'll be back to normal

No of course not! When I have an allergic reaction my eyes swell shut and I look like a mutant frog. I've never had anybody not be my friend because of that. Anybody who would do that to you is immature and not worth your time.

Your look will go back to normal. The injury didn't change who you are either...that is normally why people like you in the first place...so they won't stop liking you.

No it wouldnt. That would just be mean. You should be there for a person when something bad happens not ignore or make fun of them.
