I seen the commercial, but they make everything look so good. Can someone let me know if it is good makeup? Thanks

I have never used it but my Mom does and she loves it. Trust me she tried it all too.

It is WONDERFUL. After trying just about ever foundation, I always had issues with the color matching, feathering and caking. I actually stopped using powder because it would just make it look worse. I tried Bare Essenctuals, and I love it. I would suggest going to Sephora where they have samples and try it out first. They can even put it on your face so you can see what it looks like, and show you how to use it properly. Sometimes it works best by mixing two colors together, so the kits come with two different shades, but I bought the light kit and it was too dark, so I had to buy the lightest, fair, separately. I have tried all of the cheaper mineral lines, and I feel BE is the best. I might be the great brushes, or something else, but it has good coverage and doesn't "sit" on my skin. Also, my acne problem just about disappeared after switching to it. It is a little pricey, but it goes a long way!! The only cheap one that I liked was the Neutragena. It comes in a portable, slender case, and I stick it in my purse for freshening up--usually only needed at the end of the work day before going out. The one thing about the BE is that it isn't necessarily portable.

The only think I didn't like from the BE line is the powder concealer--it didn't work at all for me. I actually use my favorite concealer on top of the powder for any red spots--acne breakouts or acne scars--b/c when you put liquid concealer on before, it usually brushes off. I am pregnant and during the first month of pregancy and I had really, really bad breakouts all over my cheeks and I still have purplish-red spots there. BE actually does a decent job covering it up, but a few spots show a little underneath so I cover them with the concealer. I do put a little liquid concealer on my undereyes before putting on the powder. Otherwise, BE does give pretty good coverage. I like how natural it is and it really doesn't look like you have makeup on when you wear it!!

I will only use Bare Escentuals mineral makeup. I actually tried switching back to a liquid foundation for a while and hated it. The Bare Escentuals has great coverage and lasts all day. It's perfect for all types of skin too, but if you have dry skin you will want to moisturize well first. I actually bought the starter kit off of the commercial. Turned out that the light was too dark, so I use the Fair 1.0 (but I have very fair skin). The great thing about the kits though is that you get everything for a reasonable price - brushes, two different shades of foundation and a how-to video. I love their eyeshadows and brow powder too. You can buy Bare Escentuals on QVC.com and on Sephora.com

I buy it off of QVC or there are a lot of sellers getting on ebay. I am 31 yrs old and thought I wouldnt break from the liquid makeup, I would never go back. GREAT basics you can get in first starter kits, that give you the brushes too. I recommend your base foundation, bisque (concealor) and warmth. It does last you a long time, once you get the hang of it, after I did now I cant live without the clear radiance (all over pink glow on my cheeks). GOOD LUCK!

This is a great makeup because it uses minerals that are good for your skin unlike other makeups with chemicals. They give you a natural glowing look and feel light on your face.

I've tried it but it feels great on your skin but the thing is there's not much coverage going on....I could also see like an orangey colored line where my jawline is...
