All of us need to first look at our own race, divide betw what is acceptable and what is not, then decide what you want to keep , what you want to throw out, or modify. If everyone thinks they are the 'best' culture there is, we'd still be in square 1. This is including those cultures that are historically considered 'first class' (like whites, and some Asian cultures).
Being the majority of a race that is considered superior, I enjoy the feeling, but, I feel it is wrong that singly, I am being stereotyped by those who think everyone in my race is arrogant, esp how the media can be so dismissive and lump everyone together with their assumed attendant traits. It's hard to make friends when people do that; they are already having pre conceived notions that blind them to the more humane qualities of listening and attending. Basically, people don't listen well, the source of a lot of problems, discrimination in a family of the same race, or racism on a general scale.

If you do not respect yourself, there is no way you can respect others. This attitude is confused with fear, fear and respect have nothing at all to do with one another. Respect comes from the heart, comes full circle back to the heart. Respect is not sought after it is earned. If some one shows you disrespect, don't get angry, but rather ask yourself, "What a poor and sad person this is, and does he not know he is showing that?"

Edcucation. No one will ever accept everyone & everyone feels some racism whether or not they act on it or deny it. I try my best to look at people for what's inside. (including my own race)

America is the only country that classifies its citizens according to race. When the government quits seperating us as "Asian American, African American, Hispanic American, etc..."
Then maybe we can start to look at each others as citizens and equals. All of us being Americans.

It will never end. The nature of human beings is to look for people to feel superior to.
