I think the plan is to do whatever they can to subvert the President.
You didn't actually buy Pelosi's promise to work together, did you?

Enable another Cambodia type killing field.
They can't think outside the box, but neither has Bush.
One has to have the World press challenge the Iraqis to create peace & wealth in their country. The movie Lawrence of Arabia hints at the problem & the solution.

This question is unanswerable. let me explain why:
John Kerry: First statements he made he was "deeply convinced" that if more troops were needed to secure stability in Iraq, he was all for it. Followed later by his "deep commitment" to oppose any further increase in troop levels.
The better part of the rest of the democratic party pretty much echo this flip flop - so really, who the hell knows what band wagon they'll be jumping on next week? It depends on which direction the political winds are blowing.
I fear that with the liberals, it's not a matter of national security - it's a matter of getting their power base back!

The democrats don't have the balls to cut off funding because they know the American people will turn against them. So here's their plan.
1. Retreat from the region, letting a civil war break loose and causing hundreds of thousands if not millions of deaths.
2. Admit defeat, thereby giving Osama Bin Laden's terrorist cronies more propaganda along with a victory.
3. Blame George W. Bush and not take any personal responsibility.
Phase one of the first point is already taking place in these meaningless symbolic votes and unconstitutional calls to keep the president from sending more troops.

The same as it was for Vietnam.... pull out of the country then cut off any funding for them to defend themselves.

Convert to the "religion of peace", sacrifice a few soldiers to have their heads lopped off, declare the US the worst country ever and responsible for all the world's problems, and have the troops swim back to America.

I have no idea what the democrats have planed for Iraq but it will be funny when they try to fix it and find out they cannot do any better than bush, so like others have said they will pull out

Whatever Bush suggests, they want to do something else. Anything that will fail will make them happy
Oh and I would love for any Liberal to come up to me (while I'm in uniform) and say "we support the troops but not the war", I have never had anyone do that, I suspect they know that would not be met with a happy face on my part (and fortunately, they probably don't know that while in uniform I can only give a dirty look)..
