Hey, Im a freshman starting for my varsity high team.
I know that I can throw with great accuracy and can outrun lots of ppl on my team.
But last Friday I started my first game..

I just felt nervous. Shivering when i see that huge crowd in the bleachers.
At the line I felt hesitating and was throwing wild and scrambing into traffic.Which is just not me.
We lost 21-0 with me givin away 3 ints and gettin sacked 5times.

Any ideas or tips to help me calm down and be comfortable?
Like i've seen nfl Qbs like byron leftwich, just sittin in the pocket and releasing throws easily.
Help! I wan't ppl to see how good i rlly am.

Freshman in high school...meaning you're probably around 14 or 15. Remember that all of those NFL QBs have been playing football twice as long as you; Brett Favre has been playing football for longer than you've been alive. They've had people staring at them so many times that they're used to it, and that's part of why they're so calm and comfortable. You'll get better about it as you play more games.

When you're on the field, ignore the crowd as best you can. Don't listen to them, don't even look at them. Just focus on your 10 guys and their 11. Pretend that it's practice, and you're doing something that you've done 100 times before.

You have to get focused. Lose track that there is anyone in the stands watching. Try and get out on the field to warm up well before any crowd arrives. Play ball, just like you do in practice. Focus on your teamates, not your surroundings.I know it sounds tough but you have to forget there is a crowd watching. By the way, that happens to a lot of players on their first start. It gets better. It is sort of odd that you just started your season?

Be PREPARED!! If you have practiced, know the play book, and are confident in your ability, you will be fine. Remember, you have ten other guy's out there with you, use them! You cannot win by yourself.
