Self improvement is masturbation. -Tyler Durden

People are not unpopular. They just aren't in the most high-profile social circles or cliques. It doesn't mean they are bad people or nerds. Do you think that Bill Gates was the most popular? I'm thinking no.

Everyone simply needs to find their own way and realize that social cliques are only a part of teenage adolescence. After high school the prom king will be pumping your gas and the prom queen will o.d. on meth or something and pop out five or six kids without a father. The valedictorian will usually bomb out of his/her first year of college because they tasted beer for the first time. The loser who didn't talk to anyone will start a major international company and pursue global market domination. The choir geek will marry some nice person and have nice little home schooled kids. The hackey sack slackers will either die or become lawyers. The fat kid will slim down and marry some hot chick. The hot, skinny chick will get fat and go on to amount to nothing. The class clown will sit on his computer and point out everyone else's faults on Yahoo! Answers and wander if he should have been better friends with that weird, quite guy who started the major international firm or not.

Because Jefferson wrote that all are created equal, we take this
to mean that people are all the same. Equal means the same in
all respects. This is not reality.
Because we think we are all equal, i.e., exactly the same, we
are conditioned to be repulsed by any variance, or difference.

The way "history" is written causes us to believe that all the
inhabitants of a nation are guilty of what their leaders/rulers
do wrong. The "Spanish" did this, or the "Iraqis" did that.
Which Spanish? Which Iraqis?
Often, entire nationalities are given the credit for the inventions
of an individual. A Korean man invented the first metal clad
sea ship. The whole nation of Korea should not get credit.

One big reason why people are "unpopular" is because
we say we're all the same, but we point out the flaws of
a person we disliked already any way.

It depends greatly on who the unpopular person is.
Not every one who is unpopular is hated.
Not ever one who is unpopular is bad.
Not every one who is popular is necessarily good.

Live and let live. Some people don't want to be popular, and
could do without the attention.
Others crave absolute acceptance, and need to buy a pet.

Some are better, or better looking than I am, and some are smarter than me. Vive le difference..I hope.

Mostly because they're different, or other people feel uncomfortable around them for whatever reason. Some of them are reserved and shy...there are tons of reasons for a person to be unpopular. In general, most people like to be associated with people who are "normal" and don't challenge their thinking.

Some times it's not the people, but the way look at something. A lot of people don't like any thing different.

uhm... some people are actually nice. nice people usually are getting pushed around. Like me for example, people hit me, and call me naames and i just forgive them and walk away like a true catholic that i am. But sometimes , i can be a real beast. all the abuse enflicted on me builds up and i start to bet them all up...
