I know that you cannot delete files on a CD-R, but I am certain that there is a way of hiding the icons of these files.

No, you can't write to it so you can't change it in any way.

It really depends because all you can do is try it by the following instructions: 1st: Open up the CD drive and make sure theres at least a file in there to use, 2nd: RIGHT click on the document or file, 3rd: Scroll down to properties and LEFT click on it, 4th: There should be a window that opens and has many features, you want to look down at the bottom and there should be at least three choices, 5th: LEFT click on 'Hidden' and MAKE SURE YOU CLICK APPLY.

No, there isn't. Simple as that. The best you could do is have the "Hidden" option ticked in the properties box, but the file is still viewable with the right settings.
