There have been 4 in NBA history.
Nate Thurmond, October 18, 1974, Chicago vs. Atlanta; 22 points, 14 rebounds, 13 assists, 12 blocks.
Alvin Robertson, February 18, 1986, San Antonio vs. Phoenix; 20 points, 11 rebounds, 10 assists, 10 steals.
Hakeem Olajuwon, March 29, 1990, Houston vs. Milwaukee; 18 points, 16 rebounds, 10 assists, 11 blocks.
David Robinson, February 17, 1994, San Antonio vs. Detroit; 34 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists, 10 blocks.
*Blocks and steals have only been official statistics since 1973-74, so previous to that no quadruple doubles were possible.

What we have listed are the official quadruple doubles recorded. But for sure, Wilt Chamberlain and Bill Russel must also have gotten more than a few quadruple doubles in their day as they were awesome rebounders and shot blockers and Wilt even led the league in assists once, while Bill was a good passing center too. Obviously, they could score, especially Wilt. But they didn't keep blocked shots records then. But old time greats like Jerry West, Oscar Robertson, John Havlicek and Elgin Baylor keep insisting that they would so often get like 10-12 blocks in a game! They were that dominant defensively. Maybe Jerry West also got a quadruple double (including steals, aside from pts, rebs and assists) sometime in the 60's, but they didn't yet officially record steals either.

The quadruple double and quintuple double are both possibilities. They can consist of points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks. I doubt the feat has ever occurred in pro basketball because of the difficulty. If it had occurred I think it would be known as one of the greatest performances ever, so we would know about it. Anyway the quadruple double is unheard of because the type of player who records 10 blocks almost never is credited with assists. And players who get 10 assists don't usually rebound well or block shots. 10 steals in a game is ridiculous so that aspect of the quadruple double seems far-fetched.

Yeah, that's possible. As the answerer above stated, it has happened before.
It's also possible to get 10 pts, assists, blocks, rebounds, and steals. Ron Artest almost got there back in the 2002-2003 season when he balled for the Pacers. I recall he had 20+ points and anywhere between 7-10 of everything else (steals, blocks, rebounds, assists).
