Well you make it to look natural, but perfected... So you look like you have naturally beautiful skin without any blemishes and in a healthier, more even color/complexion. You don't really have to use the same color as your skin tone just as long as it LOOKS that way. If you get the right mascara, you can also fake more beautiful eyelashes which is usually the most important part of makeup. Longer, fuller eyelashes do wonders!

I used to think the same thing. I used to never wear make up and I got alot of compliments on my skin. Then I got older, had a few kids, and that was that. If I don't put on at least a little something it's terrible. I look in the mirror like Jeez! What the heck happened? So to answer your question, I wear natural style makeup so that when I look in the mirror I can feel like I look like a decent person, not a walking zombie. This is also why people that do not style their hair brush it. Specifically, a semitransparent base to even skin tone, a little mascara to highlight the eyes and some clear or translucent lip gloss is what I use.

I've wondered the same thing. Not only can makeup help cover up blemishes but, when applied correctly and with the right shading, it can also highlight certain areas or bring out the color in ones eyes while still looking natural.

well, some people don't have completely even skin tone, so your're basically just hiding the flaws, but using colors that are natural. The basic point is for only you to know that you're wearing makeup.

Wearing foundation covers redness and evens out your skin tone. When applied correctly, it looks "natural".

Natural makeup is meant to accentuate or enhance your strong features while suppressing the less-than-appealing ones. Not wearing makeup is kind of lazy. Would you wear clothes you just pulled off of the floor without ironing them? Probably not. Therefore, makeup ensures that you do not look like you are at the mercy of whatever Mother Nature throws at you.
My wife just told me this. I swear.

Sometimes you want to emphasize certain parts of your face without looking flashy. NAtural is very hot. Like it just brightens your face and makes it glow, with a natural look.

some girls really don't need to wear make up but the point of makeup is to accent your features..you can actually minimize flaws with makeup if you do it correctly, and you don't cake it on..its mainly to even out the skin tone because due to break outs and sun damage, a lot of people have uneven skin tone...not everyone is blessed with flawless skin..

They may want clear looking skin or highlight their eyes. Sometimes the make up makes you look tanner also. I agree sometimes make up can get over the top but most use it to get good looking skin. :)
