Out by the garden? No, not there.
I can hear him, but oh my; where?
I walk to the front and across the street,
Thinking this sprite I might meet.
I can see cattails taller than he,
Where oh where can this goblin be?
I've walked about this Daisy Glen,
Who knows where this gnome has been?
Is it under that toadstool down by the pool?
He promptly responds: "Not there you fool."
The sun is shining, could he be a rock?
I'm getting quite scared; I've pulled out my glock.
Is that him swimming in the bird bath?
He’s teasing and taunting me to my wrath.
I look and I search and I hunt and I seek,
Why that little rascal has pulled up my leek.
What else is missing? I ask as I turn,
What’s that over there under the fern?
I dash to the shadows of the age old trees
Something is there, the height of my knees.
What's that in his hand? I think it's a snake.
Right there he is down by the lake!

I know gnomes travel a lot, so I'm guessing he was on beach of Hawaii getting suntan!!

He climbed the rose arbor - thought his little red nose and cheeks would blend in with the roses! He did not realize that bees like roses too - oops!
He was stung and he fell and landed right in front of me! Silly baby!
