I like the pronunciation, but the spelling is another story. I guess I don't understand why there's an i and then a y, which seems redundant. I think if you spelled it Anirah it would work better. The way it's spelled now makes me want to say something like "Ah-nee-ya-rah."

hi......so u are having lots of fun with names.......i have 2 things to say...if u are pregnant then i would suggest having a few names in mind and then after the birth the right oone will come to you.....when i was pregnant we had 3 names....tyson, bailey and Aiden.....when i filled out the forms when our son was 2 weeks old we deceided Aiden.....then the next morning my b/f said Hayden was nicer....so because his birth cert already had aiden on it i slipped a H on the front to have the unusual spelling of Haiden....i think the whole time i was pregant i stressed about names.....i wish u luck....girls names are hard and aniyrah is very beautiful.....do u know what it means

I think it's beautiful. It's unique, but still feminine. Too many people trying to find unique names come up with some weird stuff, but Aniyrah is a great name.

Don't care for the name, there are many great names for little girls. What about Sara, Emily, Jessica, Ashley, Jena, Hanna. Some of my favorite names are: Jaylyn, Johanna, Jena, Jeanna. Name you baby after one of you parents, or grandparents. I was named after my Mom's best friend, and love my name. Best Wishes!

In my humble opinion, I have to say no. Does the name have a special reason. People would just end up calling the child Ani ( Annie). I say, keep thinking, unless this name holds a very special meaning to you.

My wife and I named our daughter Donna Sue. My dad looked it up some where and said it means gift from god. I have never heard the name Anirah before., nothing wrong in being different.

Whenever I see those types of names, the first thing that comes to my mind is, "Who was St. Aniyrah?". If you have to explain how a name is pronounced, it's probably better to name the poor kid Mary or something like that.

Too many people are going to ask how it is pronounced and remember this child has to be able to write her name when she starts school

It's OK, but you need to think of how your baby girl would like an unusual name.
