Throughout history, we tend to focus on when specific groups of people die. For example, the last civil war soldier, the last titanic survivor, in not too long the last living World War II veteran. Why don't we start thinking about when the last hippie will die? We'd have to determine if hippies can reproduce. Are children of hippies, hippies? or does the mental disease end with the parents?
Imagine there're no hippies.
It isn't hard to do.

The last hippie will die when it is no longer considered "cool" to be a hippie (which, of course, already did years ago!). Maybe there are still a few die-hards around but not for long!

Hippies are alive and well in Tucson--particularly downtown. Yes, many are the children of hippies, and the children's children. They still wear ponchos, tie-dye, bell-bottoms, etc.
The ones I've met have been good people.
Hey, had it not been for hippies, the civil rights and women's movements may have taken a lot more time.

Hippies and hippy wannabe's cannot die fast enough. The Mama's and the Papa's are down to one. One of the guys died today.
