You might have a bad pressure control solenoid inside the transmission. It is a small electrically opened valve. If there are any contaminants in your transmission (simply dirty fluid), it can cause the solenoid to stick and will cause a very harsh shifting condition. The pressure control solenoid will run about $430 to replace. I would first have it checked by your local dealer. They could tell you for sure.

You my friend need to have the torque converter replaced. This will require a complete transmission rebuild. sorry.
