Because they're politicians!
This case really infuriated me. And the worst part is that I see more people worried about the treatment of the mercenaries in Gitmo than about these AMERICAN Border Guards.
It's absolutely disgraceful and if this is the true face of things, then just open the damned border and eliminate all immigration laws. Just sickening.

Well, the fact that the President hasn't pardoned them yet is proof that everyone makes mistakes.
And since no human is perfect, that debunks the claim by Democrats that President Bush is Satan.
