One of the most important lessons we can teach our children is that they are important, that they matter, and that we love them. We can help them learn by setting an example, what they see from adults is what they carry out in the world with them. Treat your children with respect and they will show respect to others. Just be sure to show your child that you are the parent through love and nurturing. With that said, You will be pleased with how your children grow up to be responsible young women and men through you.

I really don't think there is just one important lesson....
To be themselves and never let anyone change them, to stand up for what they believe in, don't judge before knowing, and do onto others and you would like done to you.
