I'm getting ready to go out and its really cold out but I hate wearing jackets becuz the whole coat check thing is a pain at the end of the night...any ideas what cud keep me warm but not too warm to wear to a club??

you could wear a long sleeved top underneath a shirt... looks good as well as keeping yoa warm

Pending the Club, I worked for many clubs, and many concerts, in Tri-State area. Usually anyone who left their coat in the car, were sorry in this bitter cold weather.
Wear a wicked cool leather jacket. Make it look like part of your wardrobe. If you are a PETA person. Oops! Don't wear animal skins.
You can tie some warm, but not bulky jacket, and tie it around your waist. It's alright in cold weather, people accept that.
If you don't mind loosing a coat, you can put it on the back of a chair. Surprisingly most people don't steal at the clubs. They don't want to look like a looser in front of their date.
Fold it nicely and put it under the seat your at.
If a live Band is playing, and your polite, you can try asking the sound guys, if you can leave your coat (on the floor), but don't rely on this idea, it's a restricted area.
Wool is the warmest, layers, of it, and a nice jacket.
Coat check. Pay your friend a couple of $$ or buy them a drink to stand in line for you.
If there are no long lines to get in wear a nice coat. But lock it in the trunk of your car.
Hope this helps! I can't think of many more ways to avoid the coat check line.

I personally like the look of regular slightly fitted crew neck or turtleneck sweater on a guy. They're great. They will keep you warm, and if you get hot in the club you can roll up your sleeves and still look good. If it's especially cold a jacket is a good idea though. A nice black leather jacket is always a good one to have in your wardrobe. They go with almost anything and never really go out of style. The last time I went to a club with a guy he wore a tan-colored turtleneck sweater, a black leather jacket, dark-rinse baggy jeans, and tan-colored timbaland boots and it looked really good and well put-together.

dancing a hot sweaty sexy event~ wear a jacket and when you park take it off throw it in your car and hurry into the club! ha ha have fun wish i could go with!
