I want to make a cd for my birthday party and I need a site where I can download free good quality music on to a cd.

Nope.
In order to make a cd you need a disc writing program.
Of course, you will find sites that say you can download music for free, but the majority of them are illegal.
It would just be so much simpler if you went out and bought a party mix cd from the store.

Despite what you may hear, you can get decent music for free without having to resort to piracy.

Checkout these links. The music here is free and legal. You'll need to register for Wolfgang's Vault, but the Live Music Archive is anonymous. You can also stream the CD Quality free feed from musicmatch if you have access to a comp and a broadband connection during your party.

I'm listening to a live Eric Clapton concert from 1978 on Wolfgang's Vault right now. I record it on my hard drive, and make a CD after the fact.

You can make CDs with Windows Media Player, as well as many other programs.

its the latest full version download & the best part is its free. I've been using this to download musics.. use this to download music..
just burn them on the cd.

type in loose music downloads on your Yahoo search for bar and %. the area you want to acquire.locate the mucis you want.Then insert your cd and click on the songs downloaded,then click burn/move.Its that straightforward!!!

Use Ares, thats what i use. or you can use limewire. Then just burn it onto a CD
