Before you think he is picking on me because I am a nerd, I am not. I have a lot of friends and I am decently popular, I am not ugly and I don't have a giant nose or a billion pimples

Every single day in usually 1 class, he bugs me. I am usually so talkative and bubbly, but because of him, I have learned the less I say, the less chance there is to argue.

For example:

He was bugging me all day with stupid insults. During Art, I was getting paint from the paint area in part of the room. He was blocking me from getting it, so I elbowed him in the ribs. It wasn't hard, I am not a wresteler or a super sporty person that could cause extreme harm, but now every single time I say one little word, he starts arguing about how I elbowed him for no reason. He twists the story so it appeal to him and makes me look like the devil. He insults my artwork, which isn't that mean because I know it sucks, but after I constantly explain it, he still calls it a christmas tree, I am jewish!

He makes up stories and every time I even try to be nice, he yells at me. I wanted to tell him happy birthday today, but I was afraid he would argue about how he was older than me or how he is superior to me.

Why is he picking on me?? I have heard of people picking on others because they like them, but this takes it to a whole new level!

I have done NOTHING to offend him to this extent. I don't insult him, I stay quiet and even if I am talking to my friends, he overheards the conversation and makes random insults about it.

And he is waaay over competietive! Just today during P.E I was coming back from the weight room (I was on the bikes in there actually). The people in the other room were playing tennis. As I was walking in, he was arguing that the ball was right before the line and how because a lot of people were running next to the nets, it didn't count anway.

I'm not sure how old you are, but it sounds like he likes you. If he bothers you so much, it seems like maybe you like him too.

You should say jokingly, so when are you going to ask me out.

Don't focus on him and what he's doing all the time. Focus on you, and what makes you happy and start doing it.

If he was picking onyou to a lesser extent, I'd say he likes you. But he sounds like a jerk. So it's likely he is picking on you for the same reason anyone picks on anyone - he has low self-esteem. And since you become quiet around him, he thinks you're an easy mark.

Just ignore him, completely. Like he doesn't exist. If he tries to start a conversation with you, just act like he isn't there. If he tries to block you, just go around him. He only gets joy out of picking on you because he gets off on it. If you act like he doesn't even exist, he isn't getting a rise out of you, and it's going to lose it's appeal.

at first i thought maybe he liked you but reading on i think there are deeper issues than you think.how is his home life? it could be that at home he gets treated the same way he treats you and picking on you makes him feel human again. and since you've treid being nice just forget him. no matter what he says you stay a happy, bubbly girl and don't let his negativity ruin your good aura. good luck with your bully and just remember, it's not forever.

he likes you and he's really imature. by jabbing him in the ribs he's hoping to get a sympathy plea from you. the rest of the stuff sounds harmless, but it sounds like he's trying to get a rise out of you, and this is the only way he knows how.

of course i have no idea how to get rid of him. that's a different question for an extra 3 points.

Just go along with it and don't act like it's a big deal. Trust me this guy does it to me all the time. It's all cool between you guys and just play along, maybe smile everytime he cracks a joke. Have fun with it. :P

Avoid this guy like the plague. No telling what's going on his mind. I'm not sure he does either. He either secretly likes you, or else he's just rude. Either way, you deserve much better.

Just ignore him and ignore things he says about you and before you know it he will stop because he is not getting your attention. He is not worth ruining your day.
