No not necessarily. Me and my friends say like all the time and we dont even realize it anymore it just becomes an almost necessary part of our sentence and we cant leave it out.

definitely not. the word is associated with "valley girls" and ditziness, but often it's really just a lack of a better word. it's like saying "um" all the time. it's not just a nervous habit, but something a lot of people do nowadays. people's vocabularies seem to be getting smaller by the day. if you notice, you'll find that people of all kinds use the word excessively. preppiness isn't a word, it's a style.

No -- it's just a habit of speech. My six year old does it sometimes and has no idea what preppy is.

no, not nessecarily. just because you say a word doesn't have to do with your clothes. my friends and i say like all the time and we aren't that preppy.

not always because i say it somtimes but some people say it all the time its freakin anoying but it doesnt mean ur a prep pr any other kinda person.
