You can get a clear retainer, but i DON't recommend covering it with makeup. A piercing is an open wound, do you go into hospitals and slather foundation on surgical incisions?

What i do is go to my piercer and he uses Monafilament, which is a biocompatable, felixible and clear plastic which he threads throught the piercing. You can't see it, and then i just go back when i want my old jewellery put back in. However, its hard to find some piercers who use it- i onyl know of 2 piercers in Sydney who do, and the others see it and go 'wtf?'

you know those clear tag holders that come on your clothers? the end is like a T... just cut it short so that it doesn't poke all the way through and put it in from the back so you can pull it from the inside later. that's the easy inexpensive way
