I mean, they proved their inability to win the big game once again when LSU whipped their asses in the Sugar Bowl. They play second rate teams for most of the schedule and choke when they have to step it up against real teams (namely SEC). And they'll probably get a nice BCS Bowl invitation next year......regardless of their suck-*** record.

South Bend Community College is an overrated team, now coached by an overinflated former Offensive Genius. Does Charlie Weis get larger every time he's on NBC? Guy hasn't missed a buffet table since he's been at SBCC.
Oh yeah, back to the Fleeting Irish. They've got the voters scammed. Even when the Fighting Leprechauns have a .500 year and lose to teams like SouthWestEast Missouri Tech, they still get votes by the writers and go to a bowl.
Hey, voters, keep voting for them. I, for one, enjoy seeing them lose bowl after bowl after bowl.

Because of their history, and the fact that they have one of the largest fan bases. That's why they can go 10-2 get in a BCS game while a better 10-2 team like Rutgers gets put in the ...Texas bowl.

Its based on thier past. I mean they had their tv contract extended for 10 years in the 90s when they sucked. Its mainly their tradition.

I guess its just that many good players have come from Notre Dame and everyone just assumes that they have to be good. I'm sure Weis will do SOMETHING about his bowl losses. Step it up Weis...
