Oprah founded a school. Why haven't the other Black SuperStar Celebrities, Atheletes or Elite Balck Politicians? Would their disposable income be enough to save the Black Childern from having to be educated in these torn down Public Schools?

I didn't wait for my children to be educated at school. I taught them as much as I could before they went. Black parents(I am one)need to educate their children and not wait until they are 5 and put it all on the schools! I am responsible for my children, not "celebrities".

Good question. I just think a lot of modern black celebrities are too stupid, frivolous, and narcissistic too care. I mean look at all of these dumb jocks and rappers. Some of the atheletes are decent smart guys, but too many of them are ******* like Terrell Owens and Barry Bonds, I mean, the guy who said he was misquoted in his own autobiography.
Also, like the people below mentioned, traditional black moral and family values need to be restored. Black culture is rooted around Christianity and the family. We need to return to our roots and stop being degenerates that have sex and children out of wedlock- that will start a road to better parenting. I've noticed white people have the same problem.

Oprah founded a school in south Africa for the specific reason that she could not help black kids in inner city schools. Unlike kids in Africa who "want to be educated" kids in America ask for Ipods or sneakers. Besides it not even an issue that can be solved with money, it takes ALOT of time to reverse the values and upbringings (ultimately mentality held) and emotional investment on both behalf's.
