Not sure if i can explain this one correctly but... all through my life i have felt like an outsider. I would love to hear if others feel like this and how they interpret it.

I never really found my "niche", I never fit into a group or category. I used to hate being such an outcast when I was a teenager, but now as an adult I could really care less how I am labeled.

When I was in high school I felt that way and was a bit angry and didn't know why. Now that I am a little older, I am fine feeling I don't really fit into society. The mentality of so many people in the U.S. I can't relate to, and I was born and raised in the U.S. I function in society because in the end, once you're an adult, you have to, but I love to travel and that is what keeps me sane. I also have many friends from different parts of the world who immigrated to the U.S and I love spending time learning about others cultures. You'll be OK kid. You may be destined for great things!

Yes, I have always felt like a misfit in one respect or another. I think it is because of my upbringing. Maybe you are the same- maybe no one recognized your talents so you could develop them, and feel a sense of pride. Are you artistic or a writer? I can tell you one thing- don't try to fit in with people who are doing the wrong things, just to fit in somewhere. You were created for a purpose, and you fit into the grand scheme of things more than you know. Hold your head up and follow your dreams- you have as much right to live in this world as anyone else. If you are in high school, rest assured that the real world offers many more choices and opportunities for you.

some times i feel like i dont fit into society. Especially considering that I'm a high schooler. Whenever i go shopping , sometimes i go into a store that all the popular people shop at....of course i feel left out. Because i dont fit in with them.

IMO "society" is kinda like "they" or "them". Perhaps you haven't found the social group of people who share your same tenets.
I believe that all segments make up a society.
In political involvement it is necessary for all "types", "kinds", and "beliefs" to be involved.
There is a place and people for you too.

Good Luck & Blessings.
