Oprah founded a school. Why haven't the other Black SuperStar Celebrities, Atheletes or Elite Balck Politicians? Would their disposable income be enough to save the Black Childern form having to be educated in these torn down Public Schools?

What makes you think they have to spend their money that way?

Why aren't you asking why white celebrities aren't spending their money on educating the kids in "torn down public schools"?[what kind of education do you think they're getting in " torn down" schools, anyway? Are they teaching in the rubble, or what?]

Many celebrities spend lots of money working with AIDS, and with help for homeless animals, or Save the Whales. or many other projects.

Just because celebrities have money doesn't mean they have to spend it on education.

Torn down schools no longer exist. I think you mean "run down schools."

Bill Cosby has given a lot to educational charities, especially those in the East.

Other celebrities have donated considerably to all sorts of educational projects; but it is a loosing cause just to throw money at the problem. You need to involve the parents and get the kids themselves excited about learning. It does not matter what race or religion or economic level a child comes from; they will not learn unless they want to learn. Parents need to encourage their children to explore, examine and think; afterall, they are the primary influence in a youngster's life.
