Totally agree. I'm die hard Mets fan. The Mets have a very balanced line up (even Tony La Russa said so). The Mets provide dynamic, exciting plays by young players such as Reyes, Wright and Beltran which is strengthened by the powerful, solid plays by the experienced players such as Delgado and Lo Duca. With this kind of line up, the Mets can beat other teams in a lot of ways. Go Mets '07!!

The Mets are not awesome, they are Amazing! I probably ran into cardnut316 back in 1968 for the home opener (how about Koosman striking out Willie Mays and the next two batters after loading 'em up in the top of the first?).
Don't worry about deleting the trolls; they are not worth your time.
Now this year the Amazin's are going to have a bit more trouble as several teams have improved but the Mets' pitching has not. (Has it really been 20 years since Tom Seaver retired? I'm getting old.)
The Mets are still the team to beat in the NL (sorry, Cards fans, but that doesn't mean your team isn't formidable, too - no one can count out Albert Pujols), and will probably make the World Series because they'll have to work harder for it this year.

The Mets are amazin! They have a great mix of young talent (Wright, Beltran, and Reyes) complimented by experienced stars players like Delgado and Glavine. Their pitching will be much better than people expect. As painful as the game 7 loss was (I was at the game), last season was a big step forward for the Mets and this year they will take another step forward and win it all. Let's Go Mets!

The Mets and Yankees were huge disappointments during the playoffs this year..........In sports it always boils down to who wins the big game at the end of the year and what went on all season soon leaves everyone's mind....I'm a die hard Yankee fan and when the big ones came they sucked major as did the Mets......Gotta tell it like it was..........I'm in New York and was looking forward to a subway series as most New Yorkers were......If we couldn't have that we figured at least one of our teams would make it to the series and win.........What good was either team's season record (and both were at the top of the list) if they couldn't get further in the playoffs????????..........CAT

WOW, your first day on Answers and you are already threatening to delete people. I guess I didn't know you could do that. I will say that I hate the Mets, their fans are always trying to put them on the same level as the Yankees and it's never going to happen. The Mets will always be the second team in town behind the mighty New York Yankees!! At least you do have a Yankee, Willie Randolph, running your team, so the Mets do have one good thing going for them.
No one said that you were new to Yahoo, I said it was your first day on Answers, even you said that you were "new to this". You can't just delete answers you don't like or there would be a lot of questions deleted, anyone knows that. Just deal with it.

Maybe this year Beltran will take the bat off his shoulder in a crucial game for the Mets. Probably will happen around June, cause the Mets won't be in contention after that. BTW Go Adam Wainwright.

the mets have no starting pitching. they will be lucky to win the NL east next year. the phillies, braves, and maybe the marlins will be right with them.
