Our town has no community center or similar place for kids to hang out with their friends in a safe environment. I'm planning on attending a town meeting to make suggestions for such an organization & need ideas to propose. What type of activies could we present that kids would like to participate in & be feasible for a small town? I was thinking along the lines of pool tables, double dutch tourny, themed parties, etc. Please share your ideas.

With obesity being one of our biggest issues you need to look at physical activities that they can do. Remember that not everyone wants to do the same thing but our country is getting really obese.

I, for my section might want to really have 2 smaller presents than a million massive present so.... For the 11yo - If she likes Hannah Montana some thing at the same time with her on it will make her chuffed. If she doesn't then per chance some kind of craft equipment? I actually have continually loved those. & some kind of present card. For the 15yo - The Uglies e book series (quite tremendous books, the major subject is that you do not favor to appear as if anybody else to be universal and chuffed) and some kind of present card. Or, in case you're feeling formidable, you would possibly want to purchase/make an fantastically fantastic card & promise to take them & a million pal slightly to the mall & purchase them $50 of stuff there. My grandma did this one 3 hundred and sixty 5 days for my birthday and it became a lot exciting!

Im thinking up some things I have/ would have enjoyed
things with art would be awsome to include! having small art groups or classes ocassionaly, and featuring the artwork on the walls of the community center.
having snacks candy and pop for sale at a once a week (friday nights?) type partys
you can have simple TVs with basic 5 or 6 channels, for special partys when theres a game on, or something popular ex. american idol

even when i went to a church meeting in the game room the had small TV's with video game systems hooked up to them ( they dont have to be new they can be... donated nintendos for example on small tvs, they had like 4 of those)some kids would enjoy that
you can also just have sofas, and simple board games like coffee shops have
