I don't know if this is the right place to ask this but, girls and showers?

Question

Ok I’m writing a book and one character is going to take a shower. This character is a girl in High School so it’s girl’s locker room. I need to know something, Do girls in general wrap a towel around themselves to walk to the shower and after they dry off, or not.

I don’t need details; I just need to know, so my character is in character so to speak. I want her to be believable.

I haven't been in a locker room since junior high, but as I remember, girls generally wrap towels around themselves. Especially at the junior high/high school age. It depends on your character, though. How confident/self assured/out going is she? Whether or not she wraps a towel around herself could say a lot about who she is.

Girls in high school do still wrap in a towel upon entering and exiting the shower. After they dry off, which is normally at their lockers, they simply get dressed.

well i dont know your story but from one writer to the next~ make her wrap her towel around herself~ confident sexy but modest! not a whore! unless thats what ur trying to portray! hope it comes out well and send me the name of your book i wouldnt mind reading it

if your character is insecure she will wrap her towel around her, if she is confident within herself she won't.
