Jon Garland is still the most inconsistent pitcher on the team.Cross him off the list.
Jermaine Dye had an MVP type year last year and was Series MVP.He is a very solid player and is in the top 3.
Paul Konerko is an All Star caliber first baseman and a giant leap ahead of Frank Thomas in being a leader both on and off the field.Great player,I'd want him at the plate if I needed a run.But right now my vote goes to A.J. Pierzynski. He has handled the pitching staff better than any other Sox catcher since Pudge,he plays almost every day(becoming rare for a catcher these days),he has hit well in the clutch for the Sox,and has been a good team player on the Sox,certainly not what he seemed like when he was on the Twins and Giants.Without him who catches for the White Sox?The others have a player on the team who backs them up,but I don't think the Sox have a backup for A.J. and that is why he gets my vote

I'd go with Dye over Konerko offensively just because Dye can do a little more on the basepaths. They both hit for average, go opposite field and hit home runs as well as being patient at the plate. But Joe Crede is the best defensively.

Jermaine Dye. He plays his position well plus he hits hits over 30 HR's a year. Konerko comes in 2nd place. I would place Konerko in 1st place but he runs slower than a turtle.

Without a doubt it is Paul Konerko. He is good with the bat and the glove, as well as a team leader.

In a historical sense it's Thome, right now I'd say it's Garland, a good pitcher is just so hard to find.
