It happened to me. I protested it and they gave me all of the points back. But don't protest it through the email that they sent. Go to the Answers forum and they have a violations category. Protest it there.

Never happens to me. deleted question costs you 10 pts and so does deleted answer - regardless how many violation notices you got. If you delete your own question, you don't lose anything. If you delete your own answer, you lose the 2 points you got from posting the answer earlier.
