A girl's periods are often irregular the first year or so. Keep a calendar diary log of dates and write down a few notes also. After the first day of your period, count 28 days and underline the date that you expect to get it again. Circle the date that you actually do get it.
Not all women have 28 day cycles. There are 14 days between ovulation and the first day of your cycle, but the first day of your cycle to ovulation can be more or less than 14 days.

An average female menstral cycle comes every 28-34 days from the date your last menstral cycle began. But since this is only your second one, don't be alarmed unless you have had unprotected sex.. At the age of 13, if you are having unprotected sex you need to protect yourself, get on the pill, it can help regulate your periods as well. If you do not plan on having any children anytime soon, opt for a longer term birth control method such as the shot . Believe me you do not want to mother a child at such a young age..

When you first start your period it will be like this for the first year or two . When I first stared mine it would come every 3 months and was clotty the first year . I started when i was 14 and it started becoming regular at the age of 18 so basically till your done going through puberty it will be your worst friend on making you stress . If your not having sex don't worry about it at all . Drink lots of water this will help it not be such a hard period when it does come .

First, congratulations
You have it pretty much right. Your BODY is getting used to these changes and it can take a few years before your cycle becomes regular. Regular means both the length of your cycle and the pattern of your menstrual flow.
So, take a couple of deep breaths and relax. There's nothing wrong. But, talk to your mother or any other older female relative (since we've all been there) and check the link I'm giving you.

It is quite common for period to be very irregular when girls first start menstruating.
Be sure to keep track on calendar when you do start your period each time. It is helpful to keep track should you be asked for history during medical exams (should it become necessary).
In the meantime, why not talk to your Mother or Sister (if you have sisters) about what you're going through?
They've gone through this and should be able to help answer questions and reassure you what you're going through is normal.
Most importantly ... relax ... this is all new to you and to your body, too ... I'm sure everything will work out just fine.
I'm including link to web site that has some information that might be of some assistance.

Hello, I'm a mom, grandma, and a nurse, and want to let you know that what's going on is perfectly normal for you at your age and stage of maturity. It's great that you are paying attention to your body, please don't be surprised or worried if the lengths of time between periods varies or even if you would skip a period. Just like kids get teeth at different ages and patterns, menstrual periods will vary from woman to woman.
If you haven't already been to a doctor, now's a great time to go in for a coming-of-age checkup. Write down any and all questions and have them ready for the doctor. Bring the subject up with your mom or trusted adult female in your life, if at all possible, or even your dad. Knowledge is a great way to cancel out fear...like turning a light on in a dark room, you know?
Blessings on you, and welcome to womanhood,
cryllie

You might just have an irregular cycle, or your body might just be adjusting to your period. 33 days isn't an extremely long time between periods. And I don't think its extremely strange for it to vary in flow from day to day. If you think something is seriously-seriously wrong, you should see your doctor. Either way, seeing a gynecologist might be a helpful next step, for a checkup and to talk to her about your concerns.
The Go Ask Alice website is very helpful for accurate information about your health, including sexual health.

You need to give your body some time to adjust to this , when i first got mine it didn't come back until like four months. I like you was worried but I went to the doctor and she said that this was perfectly normal and your cycle probably won't adjust so its on a normal schedule until like a year of having it. Don't worry you will be just fine

I'm a guy but I can tell that you are simply nervous.
Everyone is different so everyone has different length of time periods with different intervals. It is true that most women experience their period monthly but some women get more frequent or less frequenct menstrual cycles. Do not fret, you are fine.
You should have your period soon, but why not enjoy not having to endure your period.
