Tom Landry, he was actually a player coach with the Giants during their great years in the 50's. Giant are famous dor getting ri of coaches who go on to fame elsewhere. Landry, Lombardi, Belichick thats what 7 super bowls right there.

I think it was Landry with the Cowboys quite some years ago.
