Thank You
To me, the amount of support we have received is just incredible.
Those who have decided to reach out to our family have made such a difference. The thoughtfulness and benevolence shown is a source of strength and spirit, an affirmation of considerate community. In every conversation among our family there is always the mention of your thoughts and letters. At mail call I am encouraged by, and enjoy hearing from people. I wish I could respond to express my gratitude, and continue to correspond. However, people having sold my notes, and sometimes fabricating content, preclude me from doing so. It is an irritating, unfortunate situation. I am tremendously appreciative of your kindness, it has such a wonderful positive effect upon our family.
hybristophilia
Hybristophilia is a paraphilia involving being sexually aroused by people who have committed crimes; in particular cruel or outrageous crimes.
The sexologist John Money defines hybristophilia as:
"a paraphilia of the marauding/predatory type in which sexuerotic arousal and facilitation and attainment of orgasm are responsive to and contingent on being with a partner known to have committed an outrage or crime, such as rape, murder, or armed robbery"

Many high-profile criminals, particularly those who have committed atrocious crimes, receive fan mail in prison, presumably as a result of this phenomenon. In some cases, admirers of these criminals have gone on to marry the object of their affections in prison. An example of this is Ted Bundy who is known to have received about two hundred fan letters each day from female admirers.

The truly lonely like to fantasize about a poor but handsome dude who can't get away...all locked up safely, alone, misunderstood...and of course he didn't do the deed because he said so, right? There is a whole school of philosophy and psychology about women like that. Weird huh? Even more weird is that there are legions of them...they all want to save them and never believe what he did would ever happen to them.

They're deluded. Too bad they can't talk to his murdered wife, Lacy, about what a sweet guy he was.

They do that for every notorious murderer or rapist. It's amazing.
