Bush's Rush to Armageddon
Quote

By Robert Parry
January 8, 2007

George W. Bush has purged senior military and intelligence officials who were obstacles to a wider war in the Middle East, broadening his options for both escalating the conflict inside Iraq and expanding the fighting to Iran and Syria with Israel’s help.
On Jan. 4, Bush ousted the top two commanders in the Middle East, Generals John Abizaid and George Casey, who had opposed a military escalation in Iraq, and removed Director of National Intelligence John Negroponte, who had stood by intelligence estimates downplaying the near-term threat from Iran’s nuclear program...intelligence sources say the personnel changes also fit with a scenario for attacking Iran’s nuclear facilities and seeking violent regime change in Syria.

For many years we have stood by as radical countries did as they pleased. Many terrorist groups would not have been able
to sustain themselves without the assistance of these rogue
countries. Everybody knows that these countries are guilty of
abetting turmoil in any way they can.
It would have been easy for President Bush to use the Baker-
Hamilton report as an excuse to "redeploy" out of Iraq. It would have provided him with a great deal of political cover. Instead,
he decided to take the harder but braver path of actually trying
to stand up against these murderers.
I also found it interesting that even the religious leaders in Iran
have apparently heard enough of Aninijad'a (SP) wild rantings
and have publicly rebuked him.
I hope and pray that a good, quick solution will come to Iraq and
that the issues with Syria, Iran and North Korea can be solved
in a peaceful manner. However, if we are so weak-willed that
we fail to stand our ground in Iraq, these other countries will
only laugh at us.

Meh. Armageddon will be cooler than all of this. Im hoping that the magnetic field reverses an. Either that or a rogue black hole. The laws of physics would simply change, and everything he had built, and all of our little gadgets would stop working. Then with nothing to do, and nothing to distract us we wait to get swalloed up into nothing.

Funny. I thought he was the only one trying to delay Armageddon, despite all the liberal whining.
