just YES or NO is good. thanks. :)

I've known most of these people throughout school and at least for a few years and we've always been acquaintances and liked each other but we never really got close. They are always nice to me and I'm always nice to them and we talk a little but usually its just small talk, not much more beyond "hi how are you" and they don't talk to me much but every now and then they do and I think its more that they don't think of me all the time than they don't like me. I'm kind of quiet and shy so it makes sense that they don't think of me. But what makes me wonder is that I have never got invited to do anything with them. I haven't always been quiet, but I got moreso in the past few years and they seem to like me more for it, but I never get invited to anything, even things it seems like half the school gets invited to. And they seem to be more pushy about being friends with other people, like they never tried to convince me to go to prom, so sometimes I think they don't care. But when we worked on a project I was kind of invited, as the last person available, to be in a group, but they said they really felt comfortable with everyone in the group, and I was the only one who wasn't close friends with them, I think just because I'm a nice person they like and admire me. So I think they like me and they were really inviting after that and I wanted to get closer with them but I was so shy and now I think they're sick trying, its understandable, and I think I blew it.

I dont think you blew it. Sure you are shy but they can tell you are a nice person. Next time they go somewhere just go with them or organize something and invite them. That way they might see that you are interested in being friends too. I know you probably feel anxious or scared about it but im sure you have nothing to worry about...good luck!

sure

I don't know what grade you are in but it is apparent that you would like to have more friends, my advice ... try a little. Now im not saying to start table dancing or something crazy, just try and chime in with your opinion every once in awhile. im sure you will be pleasantly surprised

i know its rough if you are shy but open up a little more, your would-be friends might end up as your good or even best friends =)

NO, I think maybe you are not popular and you are looking to hard into it! Have some pride in yourself, who cares if you are invited! You know you are a good person, right? Than what do you have to prove? If they don't like you for who you are then they are not worth it!!! Your time will come I promise!

They probably do but try not to be so shy. I know you said to just say yes or no but i am shy too but i am slowly getting over it. They probably think you don't like them. If they are still nice, chances are they do like you but it's because you're too shy.
