The oil factor should be checked once a week in case your vehicle is in good situation. it would want to be performed earlier the first start up of the day, with the vehicle on somewhat factor floor and also you should get rid of the dipstick, wipe off the oil it has further from the sump then dip it back and verify the point. that is sensible to enable the point drop a minimum of the halfway between the completed and occasional marks scribed on the flat face of the dipstick. modern-day autos burn almost no oil between diverse oil alterations; in the experience that they start up using oil and want right-united statesgreater in many cases than weekly the engine situation should be checked by technique of an expert. do not forget the oil factor or situation; in case you do enable the point bypass down below the low mark you may want to be confronted with a damaged engine and expensive fix. And...Murphy's regulation says that in case you may have an engine project that is going to ensue previous due at evening, likely even as its raining (or snowing), your cellular battery is flat and also you're miles from everywhere!!! good success; the historic Brit.

If you've got a brand new car, then you don't need to check your oil but make sure you change it every 3,000 to 4,000 miles. Now, if the car is a bit older then checking it every time you buy gas is a good idea since it only takes 30 seconds and there is paper towel at your disposal. Filling up your tires regularly is also a good idea, no matter how new your car or tires are. Your tires are the only part of your car that actually touches the pavement and they are extremely important. A low tire can cause poor gas mileage, bad traction, and other negative consequences.

to tell the truth i don't check the oil in my trucks...that is my fault and i get my oil changed on a regular bases but i am going to start checking the oil after every refill as i am now retired and don't drive like i used too.
this is a great question as it caused me to think about something i have been very lacks on. this could save an engine if you had low oil also check the other fluids on a regular bases too!!
thanks for the question

If you know your car, and there are no leaks, you can get away with not checking it. My older dodge 318's would use a quart in 3000 miles, did not have to add ever, just change it at 3000- 3500 miles.
