i have had this rash that comes and goes since april/may of 2002 and i started taking birth control pills in february of 2002...i have been told for years that i have eczema but, no medication has made it better...it just runs it's course and comes back shortly...today, someone suggested that it could be my pills and i can't believe that i had never thought of that...has this ever happened to you? if so, what pills were you on?

i have been to the doctor and dermotologist multiple times...nothing helps...i don't wear anything but eye makeup...it's not my makeup...or soap, or clothes, or dog...it's none of that...

not an std...also, the sun kind of helps it subside a little...

Well, since you have seen your doctor, I'm sure it's already been ruled out, but the STD syphilis causes a rash in its second stage. You don't mention where your rash is located, but the syphilitic rash can appear anywhere on the body, but commonly on the buttocks, around the genitals, etc. Unlike almost all other rashes or allergic reactions, it can also affect the soles of the feet and palms of the hands (most rashes spare those areas). This rash will come and go several times with or without treatment. Just a thought, although I'm sure your doctor considered your circumstances and would have tested for it if they considered it a possibility.
Also, have you noticed that the rash appears after sun exposure?

Where is the rash located? I would see a Dermatologist for advice.If it is on your face maybe it is your makeup.
