I had my rotors turned in July 06 by the toyota dealership and now my steering wheel is vibrating again when I apply the brake. I even feel the vibration on my brake pedal. Is that normal for the rotors to get warped within 6 months of resurfacing? I don't drive my truck extensively. Does this mean I have to replace them?

If you drive your truck infrequently, it's likely that the rotors developed surface corrosion. It's even possible for the pads to stick to the rotors if they remain in one place long enough. The solution is to either turn or replace your rotors. To prevent this in the future, the best bet is to drive the truck regularly.

When rotors get too close to the specified discard limit they can warp any time the get overheated. Get your brakes looked at by an independent repair shop, or several. Your rear brakes may be too far out of adjustment (if equipped with drum brakes) wich will cause more breaking to be done by the front, thus warping rotors. Unfortunatly you probably will end up replacing the rotors most often you will only be able to safely turn them 1 or 2 times. Also ask for a name brand rotor I.E. Raybestos or Wagner they cost more but are worth the extra bucks so you dont have to address this problem again.MAKE SURE THE REAR BRAKES ARE IN PROPER WORKING ORDER AND ADJUSTMENT OR ANY ROTOR YOU HAVE INSTALLED WILL SUFFER THE SAME FATE,GOOD LUCK.
