Can someone help me with this weird lithium cell???

Question

When I bought the Cars DVD, it came along with a hecka cool pin that flashed when you turned a knob on the back. I couple of days later, I misplaced it and now, 6 months later I finally found it. Well, when I turned the knob, it didn't flash. So I took apart the "batteries" and concluded that it was a lithium cell (CR9.27, 3V). Well, for hours now, I've been trying to make it light up again, and needless to say, it's not working. Is there some kind of specific way I have to put both of the lithium cells in?

go to walgreens and look for hearing aid batteries.
