I flew Jet Airways from Heathrow to Mumbai over New Year. The plane was an Airbus A340. The staff were pleasant, polite, courteous, and professional. The meals were better than average for airline food. The seats were comfortable. The entertainment on the Airbus was pleasant. All in all, one of the better airlines I have flown longhaul.

Someone in my group flew Jet Airways from Delhi to Mumbai and felt their internal flights were also good.

Qatar Air are fairly new but very good. They have the best standard of economy class. Air France are also good because they have the most legroom in economy. There are often good last minute business class deals at British Airways.

Whatever you do, don't fly with Aeroflot. They are totally ****.
