He doesn't die. He's going to be in the next movie (when Knightly and Bloom rescue him from the clutches of the sea). And I think he screams.

He is not allowed to die. Bloom and Knightley cannot keep my attention for 5 minutes. Thank god Geoffrey Rush is back! Yaaaaah!!

i don't think he dies, but he goes into that huge octupus thingy and his last words before going in are "hello beastie"
