I shop once a month for everything except perishables. Then, I buy perishables as needed. It really cuts down on the time that I spend at the grocery.

(I do the same thing with everything else as well. I buy supplies (laundry detergent, shampoo/conditioner, tissue, etc.) for six months or so at a time. Again, for me, it saves time shopping for things that I don't really enjoy shopping for!)

There is no rhyme or reason to my grocery shopping. I go when I am out of stuff and stay home when I'm not.

I go every weekend and shop for the week, but invariably we run out of something before the next weekend and have to go back.
