I'm with you all the way. Simon and Paula and Randy are DEFINITELY NOT the finest musicians in the world. They are at best average. They have no business crushing peoples' dreams. Not even in the finest international classical competitions I was in did I see such crude and mean behaviour on the part of "judges."
I also hate hearing about it on the news.

lol well here in england we are fed up with THE X FACTOR which is simon cowels english version of american idol.
Atleast american idol produces some talent.
Although these shows are annoying, they seem to cheer the public up, which is a good thing i guess =)
Lol by the way... Paula abdul was not drunk. She was on crack.
Shes a pointless judge as well, have u noticed that she gives the same positive comment to every contestant.
Hope i can help =)

I would really like to see them get up and do what those kids are doing-singing in front of a bunch of self-important buttholes. Paula is so drunk (or whatever) all the time, how could she be an affective judge. I think they brought Jewel in to replace her. I couldnt watch but so much of the auditions because the judges were getting on my nerves and some of the contestants were almost painful to watch. Especially the mother and daughter with the bright red lipstick and no bra.YIKES!!!!

It will never die, because people love to watch others make a fool of themselves. Simon is an a$$ because he ahs to make money for people and find the right talent to make that money.
Also the show gets great ratings so no this show has awhile to go

The more controversy in the news acts as a boost to the rating and what you have to keep in mind is more people voted for the winner last year then voted in the presidential elections so even if this year is not as big a hit as last year it will still sadly be a few years before it dies i think

It is actually a great show.
Why won't it die? That's a good question. It's because of the hype it gets. And for someone like you who hates American Idol also asks about it, it gets more hype and produces more controversy. Thus, the show gets more attention and that's why it won't die.

It all goes along with the "dumbing down" of the masses that our government imposes upon us. People like brainless entertainment and we've been bombarded for years. That way, we don't pay attention to the real issues affecting our everyday lives.

Because the producers at FOX want to see how much money they can get in their wallets before American Idol loses it's heat.

The winner don't get there because of the judges, but because of their true talents. Any good judge will be able to notice that, we need better ones than those three.
