I suggest going with an AMD processor, it's not about the "GHZ" anymore, its about the amount of flow in your machine. A typical 3.0 GHZ rated AMD (AMD 4800+) processor it going to run your games significantly better and any 3.6 GHZ Pentium based processor - especially if you want to save some cash and buy a decent video card. ATI video cards are going cheap on E-Bay and complement the AMD processor. Also you'll need at very least, 2GB of DDR Ram (Two 1gb sticks). Any mom and pop computer store can set you up without breaking your bank.

This is only one of the specifications that determines the performance (not speed) of a computer. Yes. 3.2GHz is good along the lines of processor speed, but you also need RAM and a good video adapter. Hard disks are pretty much the same and IDE is being discountinued. At the least you would want a 2.8 Ghz processor with 1GB of RAM and a 128MB video adapter.

Only if you get a third party Videocard (Like Nvidia or ATi) that can render that...
The processor speed is fine, but when it comes to games, the video card & memory sticks is what matters the most!
