Sure, if the candidates are the right ones.
I don't feel Obama or H. Clinton are the right ones, though.

No, this country is still too racist and sexist to elect either a black president or a woman president. The hatred and contempt being expressed in the politics area of Y! Answers for anyone who is non-white or female is a good example of the ignorance and fear prevalent in our society.
There won't be a black or female president elected in the US during my life time. Look at who votes...only 50% of eligible voters vote, and the majority are over 50...until they die out, this country will remain socially backward.

No, it's obvious that they are not. We have not had a woman or black as vice president and they've almost never even run for the offices. Speaker of the house? Supreme court judge? Nope, this country just does not trust women or blacks to be at the top.

um the skys the limit! but i do think it will happen over night but not that long from now. maybe 50 years id say for a black president just because of the racism still existing in our country. female president may happen within the next 20 years though. just have to wait n see!!

How about looking for a good responsible LEADER, instead of bandying race and sex? Colin Powell would be GREAT, what ever happened to Maggie Thatcher??? There are some GREAT leaders... Awww.... sorry Gore... you don't count... Hillary... you double don't count.
