You are probably half scared to death right now. Sit back, take a deep breath and calm down. Babies sometimes have diarrhea and it is quite normal especially for babies on a bottle.
Here are some questions you need to ask your self before determining if it is serious. 1 how often does the baby poop diarrhea? Is it really watery or is there mucus in it? Is it a large amount or a small amount each time? For how many days has the baby had it? Did you change something in the baby’s diet? Once you answered these questions here is what to worry about: if the baby has a runny/watery poop more than 3 times a day for 2 days call your doctor and see him the same day. If the soft spot is sunken in the baby might be getting dehydrated, once again call the doctor and make an appointment for the same day. If your baby is not producing saliva or has not peed in more than 4 hours call the doctor and see him within an hour.
If the poop is mucousy. But the baby seems dehydrated feed him more often to keep hydrated. There is nothing that you need and should do for diarrhea it will go away on it’s own if it is not too severe. Do not give your baby water or anything else, the baby is too young for any of it and it can worsen the diarrhea. Particularly water can do allot of damage. Continue to check for dehydration and if you feel that something is really wrong go see your doc ASAP. Mother’s instinct knows no substitution.
My baby has had diarrhea for 3 weeks at two month, we have switched two doctors and all of them said the same thing. The diarrhea stopped on it’s own and she now poops normally.

No he is not to young for pedialite. They give this to newborns often in the hospital that suffer from diarrhea. Either go back to the old formula or contact your Dr. Do not wait until the 25th call and get an appointment tell them he' has had diarrhea for x amount of days and the child will be seen. Your child could be losing lots of electrolites in the process which could cause heart problems

We gave our baby 2 drops of Immodium AD twice a day for his irritable bowel syndrome. This was at the direction of a Pediatric Gastroenterologist--don't do this on my say-so. If your baby has severe diarrhea, don't wait until the 25th! Take him to the emergency room. Dehydration is very dangerous in a little one. Pedialite is fine even for newborns.

he is not too young for pedialite, u jhave to change the formula again , if ur giving him advance then there is too much of iron, it is either or! and waiting till the 25th that is out of the question, because there is no excuse for a doctor to examine a baby asap especially for that kind of matter, the baby can get dehydrated and end up in the hosp. with iv/die..............why wait get another doc.......

it truly is no longer unusual for slightly one which age to be teething. My youngest brother became born with a tooth and that i imagine that should be because he's the in reality one i have heard of. you could get teething lotion for her gums on the pharmacy and also you'll also provide her infant Tylenol and that quite helps. you would possibly want to opt for to imagine about holding a bib on her continually now, too, as she is going to slobber continually and performance her clothing moist which isn't sturdy. you'll even ought to take better care once you bathe her because the wrinkles below her chin get nasty from being moist a lot. I had a pediatrician tell me once that teething doesn't make babies unwell because it truly is a classic body function and they are prepared for it. Yea, ideal! My youthful babies and grand youthful babies also had diarrhea from it lots. Teething is basically between the minor joys of motherhood. LOL thankfully there are a tremendous type of major joys. you'll only ought to attempt the distinct teething toys. My youthful babies in no way beloved those you could save chilly. some youthful babies do. My youngest grand is 7 months and she or he has slightly string of rubber beads that she gnaws on continually and cries for if she drops it. She's been at this for months and nonetheless doesn't have a tooth by. once you will see that tooth and it truly is quite virtually by you could push on it and help her get it executed. i understand a pal of a pal who has to take her infant in so the Dr can chop up her gums as her enamel only gained't come by. She became a three hundred and sixty 5 days previous and nonetheless hadn't cut back one. i wish it truly is of a few help to you. advantages to you and the infant

My doc gave me a recipe for homemade "pedialite".
4 quarts water
1/4 cup sugar
2 teaspoons salt
It doesn't have the fancy flavoring, but then again it costs next to nothing and does the same thing.

pedialite is ok. They gave it to my 1 month old at the hospital to prevent dehydration. However, please see your doctor ASAP or even visit an emergency room if his diarrhea persists. Dehydration is very dangerous for infants.

Bananas, toast(torn in small pieces), scrambled eggs (has baby started on whole foods?) Give water in small sips. Withhold large amounts of milk. This could be a touch of the flu (bacterial) and may pass soon. I would NOT give pedialite!
