I am an adult...45 years old...a few years ago I had a wonderful hamster...He was my life...I took him everywhere on a leash...He slept in my arms or in my hair...He was an excape artist...When ever I leave he would get out of his cage...When I come home I would say..."Ok Riker...Where are you?"...He would come running out of where ever he was and stand on his hind legs as if to say..."Here I am mommy."....
I could go on and on and on about my little boy...When he was 5 years old we had to put him to sleep...He had some heart problems and then he got mites real bad and there was nothing at all that could be done to save him...He was in so much pain all the time and only wanted to be held by mamma...
Yes I cried like a baby when he died. I cried for a long time and even now...Just thinking of him and missing him...He was a part of our family...
I think when you care so much for your animals...No matter if it was a dog, cat, horse or even a tiny hamster...It is normal to feel sad and cry at their death.
I am so sorry for your loss...hugssssssssss to you hun.

Of course it is ok there is nothing abnormal about loving an animal even a hamster so much that when he or she died you cried. I have my cat and I think I would have to take a couple of days off of work if he died. If you love animals like I do then you are going to have these things happen sometimes don't ever hold back your feelings because you don't know what others think who cares what others think just do you

Oh dearie, it is the best love a person can have, because animals love us back soo much and they do not judge us. Unlike people in our human world, where you can't always feel like someone loves you, and people perposly hurt other people. It's natural for us to become so attached to our furry friends because they don't judge us, or make fun of us, or doubt us in our times of need. they don't kick us when we are down, and they cuddle us when we are sad, or just plain feel like cuddling. I dread the day when my mare will die. I love her sooo much, I just start out the window and watch her graze, play and sleep. When I look at her, I feel so much pride and love fill up my heart I just know what it is, and she gives it right back. She gives me kisses and hugs, and I never taught her to do any of those things. I'm the only person she lets ride her, and she only comes to me when I call her. anyone else tries to call her and she ignores them. If you think you are bad, when I was 11 I had a few hermit crabs, and when one of them died I made my family gather for a funeral and I'd cry all day.

Awe sweetie i cried just when my pet mouse was fighting with my other mouse and i had to exchange him at the pet shop. Animals complete us. They are soft and cuddly (in most cases) and just warm our hearts, and when that is taken from us it hurts and it is perfectly fine to cry over him 13 or not. If anything happend to my babies ( 2 mice,1 guinea pig, 2cats) i would be so heart broken i wouldn't get out of bed. I am soo sorry for your loss. Was it your hamster?? If so get another one im sure your other hammy wouldn't mind its always good to fill that cold emty space with a warm cuddly fur ball :]

We all experience pain when an important part of our life is taken away. Crying is a healthy way to release that pain. I would be more concerned if you didn't cry over a pet that you missed.

It is normal to be sad and possibly cry any time you lose a loved one even if it is a pet. People can love a pet as much as they love a human.

The loss of a puppy is often tricky no count number what variety of animal that's. I purely had my cat that I actual have had because of the fact i replace into 3 (she replace into 17) positioned to sleep 2 weeks in the past, so i know the way tricky that's, to not point out how tricky that's while somebody purely does not look to understand. My acquaintances and kin all knew and enjoyed my cat, and so as that they cried alongside with me, yet I additionally unexpectedly met co-workers who might inspect me and say "Why are you crying? Its purely a cat." we could face it, your pals did not very own your hampster, so as that they on no account have been given to renowned him the variety you probably did. additionally, not absolutely everyone carry an analogous like for animals that many human beings do, so as that they does not understand that your pets replace into area of your loved ones. your pals will attempt to be there for you, even in spite of the undeniable fact that they would not understand precisely the variety you're feeling. the terrific element which you're able to do is to easily communicate with them approximately your hampster, and don't attempt to convince them as to the actuality that he replace into your pal, or how lots you enjoyed him, because of the fact in the event that they on no account have been given to have the excitement of possessing him, then they are going to on no account know how lots you enjoyed him. notwithstanding if, in case you elect somebody to communicate to, then be chuffed to touch me.
