I live in an up-to-date area with many shops and businesses. I have worked at one job for almost 2 years; however, I am absolutely sick of it. It is a terrible job with no benefits or anything. My girlfriend is in need of a new job as well. We both are extremely close and would like to find a job where we could work together. I know we would have to keep it under wraps, but I would love it. Could anyone tell me some places that this would be possible at?

well, sometimes working together at the same job can lead to conflict. Make sure you are not in the same department, no matter how close you are conflicts do happen. However, I've seen that some hotels like to have a couples to work at a very small hotel or b&b. Good luck

I would seek work at a hotel or resort, then both of you could work in separate departments and it won't be a problem. In office settings to have people together will be a problem, and at some point in time it will come out that you two are together. Unless you are married you do not have to disclose that you are both boyfriend and girlfriend, but I wouldn't schedule your interviews together or go in and do an application together at the same time. Maybe a local club or restaurant may be a good place to try.

Go to yahoo yellow pages and get the names and numbers of the firms in the area you would like to work for. Call and ask if you can fax over your resume and to who's attention. Most openings are filled before they are advertised, so the key is to get hold of them now. When you speak to the person ask if they have any openings at this time. If not, ask them if you know what firm does have openings. Follow up with a phone call to the person you faxed to in a few days for the companies that do have an opening/

My husband and I work together, and everybody knows we are husband and wife. It's really awesome. The key is to not act like you're together. That said, if someone is interested in either one of you, nip it in the bud and let them know you're taken"Sorry, that's my girlfriend over there.", but don't kiss around on each other, or hug or eveen touch at work. That can spell doom. I know this wasn't your question but if youdo work together that is a tip a lot of 'work together' couples fail to do, and they ALWAYS get canned...pronto. Most employers are willing to give it a go as long as you aren't doing all that stuff. lol!

That's even sweeter than my husband and me. We want to be together as well, he's in a different country right now. No job should hold back you and your girlfriend. See my profile because I work at home and it might work for yall too since you can work together at it. Good Luck!

It might have been helpful to know what kind of work you and your girlfriend can do.

In general a larger city will have more job opportunities.
