I would say the 7:1 dog year ratio is true... but cats seem to live longer lives... I'd say cats are about 8:1... making a dog's average life span somewhere around 13 years human versus a cat's life span at about 15 years human !

average life span for both dogs and cats is around 15 years old. maybe more maybe less. and yes every 1 year for us is 7 for your pet.

yes it is. Cats and dogs usualy live to around 16 1 of mine died two years ago she was 18 and i had her 6 yrs she was not wanted but i loved her she was put to sleep cos of kidney failure
