What pains should I be worried about in early pregnancy? How do I tell they're just 'growing pains' and nothing more serious?
Most women do worry about every pain in early pregnancy. However it's very common to have the odd twinge or niggle so don't worry too much! However you need to be concerned if the pain doesn't go away, or if it is sharp and accompanied by spotting as this may be a sign of an ectopic pregnancy. A constant pain like a period pain may possibly be a sign of early miscarriage so you should see seek medical advice if this happens. Usually however a pain will go away if you rest so try to relax and not worry...hopes this helps you.

i had pains through out my whole pregnancy, i had m/c once and was so paranoid that i would loose this baby too, i felt like i had period pain the whole pregnancy, but my doctor explained that a lot of weird and wonderful things are going on inside and its only natural to get pains and to be worried, i still went to the doctor when it got really bad, more for my piece of mind! So yeah i had pains, if you were earlier on in your pregnancy i would have said it may be eptopic, but you are 11 weeks and if your ultrasound said everything was fine, there is no need to worry about that! Best of luck to you and your little one!

It is called round ligament pain and yes I have had it and still have it. I asked the doctor about it and she said that it is just your uterus stretching and petting pressure on your lower ligament. Be really careful when you make sudden movement such as getting out of bed, or reaching for your seatbelt this will make it worse so just do things slow. Congrats!!!

I had pains that alternated on both the right and left side. It could be gas, but I'd still say go to the ER if you're concerned. When you are pregnant you don't have to pay a PENNY...your insurance covers it compeletely!!

Yes, this is your ligaments (the ones that support your uterus) stretching. It will continue and get worse throughout pregnancy. Just stretch them slowly and don't make sudden or jerking movements.
